Twenty-First Sunday in Pentecost: Judging Others

Sermon Text: Matthew 7:1-6

How do we understand Christ's command in the Sermon on the Mount not to judge others? Many circumstances in our lives require us to assess situations, weigh matters, and reach verdicts in order to make decisions. Ultimately though, living faithfully as Christ's followers means that we do not get to render the final verdict on other people. The very gospel that brings us salvation requires that we leave enormous room for God to work God's redemption in the lives of others.
