Family Ministries

Family Ministries

Spiritual formation begins in the family.  Our parish’s ministry to families seeks to equip, encourage, connect and support parents, as they are the primary disciple-makers of their children.  Our Pastor for Family Ministries leads the team of staff who oversee our ministries to children in the Nursery, Atrium, and Youth Ministry.  As a team, we are committed to joining the work that God does in the lives of parents and children.  And we are praying for your families regularly!

Equip Parents

to pray, read Scripture, and worship God together with their child.

Support Families

as they encounter Christ together and live the liturgical year within their homes.

Strengthen Family Relationships

with one another, with the Good Shepherd, and with the whole faith community.

To this end, we offer a variety of opportunities such as a series of classes for parents during our Faith Formation hour between services, a Moms & Littles gathering on Thursday mornings at church, family park play dates, and a small group for families with young children.  For more information on any of these offerings, please contact Lisa McCowen (lisa@holytrinitych.org).

For families welcoming new babies into our church, please refer to the information provided on this document so we can welcome your little one and support you well.

Child & Family Safety

In addition to our deep commitment to the spiritual formation of families, we are committed to their safety. We require all adults working with children and youth up to age 18 to undergo a background check, submit an application and references, interview with a ministry leader and complete an online training through SafeHiring Solutions and our diocese. You can see our diocese’s “Policy and Manual for the Protection of Children” here.
