First Sunday after Christmas

This morning we meditate on what it means that the Word became flesh and dwelt among us. Our text was John's Prologue (John 1:1-18).

The Logos, the Word, Jesus Christ was there at the beginning of Creation to make humanity - to create us. He made us by simply saying some words. He did not remake us so easily. He made us by speaking. He remade us by dying. He made us by commanding. He remade us through his own suffering.
