Jonathan moved to North Carolina in 2017 to pursue doctoral studies in liturgy and worship at Duke University. Originally from the UK, Jonathan moved to the US to pursue an M.Div. at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in Massachusetts and to be near his wife, Alyssa’s family who are New Englanders. They have one daughter, Rebekah (2), and they live in Durham.
Jonathan completed an undergraduate degree in music before, naturally, embarking on a career in investment banking and IT consulting. Thankfully God called him out of that and started him on a path towards ministry in 2013. Having grown up in and served in Pentecostal churches while studying at seminary, joining an Anglican church was a slightly unusual move. However, Jonathan is glad for the home that God has provided in Holy Trinity and loves leading the congregation in song.
In his spare time, Jonathan likes spending time with his family (most of the time), cooking, reading things which aren’t theology (audiobooks are even better), the Great British Baking Show, and walking.
