40 Days For Life

Please consider attending a brief meeting after church this Sunday, February 17 regarding the upcoming 40 Days for Life spring campaign in Chapel Hill.  It will be held in the conference room adjacent to our meeting space.

Our province, ACNA, has taken a bold stance against abortion.  In response to the New York State Legislature recently passing the “Reproductive Health Act” legalizing the killing of full-term unborn babies, Archbishop Foley Beach as well as our own Bishop Steve Breedlove have written letters of criticism in the strongest terms.

A response on our part is urged by both men.  Georgette Forney of Anglicans for Life offers a way to do so in her ringing endorsement of 40 Days for Life:  “Prayer is at the heart of 40 Days for Life.  This is a great way to unite the body of Christ around a common goal, and a fun way to include people of all ages in your church to participate in a life-affirming activity!  When children, teenagers, and adults come together and stand for life, we are showing a picture of the Kingdom of God uniting for justice.” (Blog post, Anglicansforlife.org, September 20, 2018)

Wouldn’t this be an amazing opportunity for all parts of our church, including children, youth, men and women, to stand together in prayer?  Please consider attending the meeting this Sunday.  If you have any questions, please contact Susan Beaupied.
